Synopsis[]
Johnny orders an ab machine, but instead of getting a six pack, his muscles form the shape of Mount Rushmore, making him a tourist attraction.
Plot Summary[]
Johnny is watching TV when a commercial comes on for the "Abdominizer 9000" workout machine. The muscular announcer promises that by using the Abdominizer, the user will be able to cut diamonds on their abs. Johnny promptly calls the number on the screen and orders one. A little while later, it arrives and Johnny sets about putting the machine together. It takes him several months, but eventually he finishes...and he has missed a few steps. Regardless, he gets into the not-quite-finished Abdominizer and starts working out.
Some time later, at the beach, Johnny is ready to unveil his new abs to the girls. He takes off his bathrobe and flexes, drawing a crowd of all sorts. The people are more confused than attracted to Johnny, however. Pops is nearby, selling clams on a stick, when he notices the crowd and Johnny. Pops covers Johnny's body with a blanket and orders the crowd to leave. Johnny asks why, and Pops removes the blanket, revealing that Johnny's ab muscles have taken on the shape of Mount Rushmore. Johnny panics, but Pops proclaims he can make money off of Johnny's new physique. Johnny asks what he will get out of this arrangement. Pops says Johnny can watch him make the money. Johnny happily accepts.
Soon, Pops has set up a sideshow stage for "Rushmo the Magnificent" in front of Johnny's house. He charges people to take pictures of Johnny, while Johnny wears presidential wigs and makes presidential ab puns. Bunny even gets in on the action, selling locks of Johnny's hair as souvenirs. In a matter of days, Pops and Bunny are getting pounds of money a day. Bunny is happy that her son is a star. Johnny enters with his two new servants, both carrying buckets of fried chicken. He orders the servants to make him a sandwich while he eats a wing. Pops tells him to cut back on the junk food, but Johnny says he is "eating for 5" and will continue to eat what he wants. Pops counters that Johnny will need to work out harder to maintain his abs. Johnny says he is done training since he doesn't like sweating. Pops argues some more, but Johnny attempts to drive his point home with a story about Abraham Lincoln. It doesn't work, and he just orders his servants to get more food.
Later, Pops is announcing another show for Johnny. Johnny poses for the fans, but as he turns around, his belly jiggles and sways. Revealing that he has a big fat belly. His Rushmore abs are gone, and the crowd quickly leaves. Pops sadly declares that the crowds won't come back until Johnny gets back in shape. Johnny, wanting his screaming fans back, starts training with jogging, push-ups, and a few sessions with the Abdominizer. Much later, Pops weighs Johnny. He is back to his regular weight, and Pops says that he needs to get back on the stage. Johnny agrees, wanting to give the people what they paid for. Pops can practically smell the money.
Soon after, a huge crowd gathers in front of Johnny's house for the "Rushmo" comeback show. Pops steps onto the stage and announces that Rushmo the Magnificent is back. Johnny gets on stage and shows off his abs. The crowd steadily stops cheering as they get a good look at Johnny's stomach. There's no Mount Rushmore, and his abs are all lopsided and misshapen. Pops tries playing it off by declaring the abs are in the shape of someone named Melvin Dimitri. No one is impressed, and they all leave again. Pops falls to his knees and cries, while Johnny makes "Melvin" dance by swinging his hips.

- During Johnny's comeback show, Pops says Johnny's abs are in the shape of "Melvin Dimitri, the 16th man to swim the English Channel, dressed in chiffon." The 16th person to swim the English Channel was Ishak Helmi.
