Newton is a one-time character from the episode "My Funny Looking Friend", who Johnny Bravo appointed as his sidekick in order to pickup women due to the appeal of a duo between a cool dude and silly goofball, to which that silly person is referred to as a "Funny Looking Friend."

Newton was a silly goofball character who was shown to have a good deal of knowledge over being a comedic sidekick. At the beginning, he seemed to have a bit of cynical outlook on the concept of a "Funny Looking Friend" saying that a lot of them are fly-by-night and self-serving who will leave their cool dude partner empty-handed. However, he was in the end revealed to be exactly one of those people as he used Johnny to pick up women by coming as the cool dude while making Johnny out to be the "Funny Looking Friend," causing Johnny to lose all the women that were attracted to him.
