"Look Who's Drooling" is a Season 2 episode of Johnny Bravo.

Synopsis[]

After Johnny mistakenly drinks a Fountain of Youth potion made by Carl, he is temporarily turned into a baby.

Plot Summary[]

After Johnny eats a batch of some spicier-than-usual at Pops's diner, he accidentally consumes a "Fountain of Youth" potion made by Carl to cool down the flames. As Johnny had drunk the whole bottle instead of just a teaspoon (which is the recommended amount stated by Carl), Johnny ends up turning into a baby (but still retains his signature pompadour and black sunglasses). Carl then gives bad news and good news to the now-infant meathead:

  • The bad news is that there's no antidote, so Carl can't revert Johnny back to his original age right at that moment.
  • The good news is that the effects of Carl's drink are only temporary, so it's not like Johnny going to stay a baby forever -- in fact, Johnny should revert back to his original at around 4 or so.

Carl then takes his friend to explain the situation to Bunny -- Carl's worried that she's going to be mad about what happened (even though it was just an accident), but she proves to be ecstatic about the situation. Bunny claims that ever since Johnny hit puberty, she's missed the time that he was a baby and wants to enjoy it while she can, but when she gets a reminder for an exercise class, she decides to drop her son off at a daycare center for the time being, which Johnny protests until he and Bunny meet the attractive director of the daycare that they go to.

Johnny ends up wreaking all kinds of havoc at the daycare center, but when it's finally 4pm, Johnny finally reverts back to his original age. Unfortunately, this happens just as Katia (the woman who runs the daycare) is getting ready to clean up baby-Johnny for his mother. Now that he's back to his original age, Johnny (of course) tries asking Katia out on a date, but she's too freaked out by what happened to accept.

The episode ends with an adult-Johnny reluctantly humoring his mom by sitting in a crib and playing with some of his old baby toys.

Goofs[]

  • From the inside, Pops' diner has no doors at the entrance. The doors can still be heard closing off-screen once Carl enters but remain missing for the duration of the scene.

Trivia[]

Cultural References[]

  • Bunny putting baby Johnny in a bunny suit was a nod to the 1983 film A Christmas Story.[2]

Episode Connections[]

  • The Gentle Hug Hug Show makes a reappearance, first seen in "Doomates".
  • Although Carl failed to make the world's first smart drink himself, a scientist later invented one for monkeys in the episode "I.Q. Johnny". Ironically, Johnny was actually given said drink, but was unaware of what he was drinking in both instances.
