Jungle Boy is the very young hero of a jungle in Africa. He is a minor character in Johnny Bravo throughout the first season. Jungle Boy has superhuman strength and often saves his anthropomorphic animal friends from danger. The self-centered ape ruler of the jungle, King Raymond (nicknamed "Mr. Monkeyman" by Jungle Boy) is very jealous of the human child for stealing away the attention of his royal subjects.
In "Jungle Boy in "Mr. Monkeyman"", King Raymond disguises himself as Jungle Boy and causes chaos throughout the jungle. When the real Jungle Boy returns, the animals give him the silent treatment. However, they quickly decide they cannot stay mad at him, as he is only a child. Raymond enters, still in his disguise. He then starts a contest to see who is the real Jungle Boy by holding the longest note. Raymond's loud singing causes a rockslide and he ends up crushed, while the animals see his fallen wig and realize the truth. Raymond attempts to hold Jungle Boy hostage, but immediately gets a beating from him. The animals chase after Raymond, planning to tar and feather him for trying to frame Jungle Boy.
When Johnny lands on Jungle Boy during "Bungled in the Jungle", he accidentally breaks the boy's leg. This leads to the animals chasing him throughout the jungle and King Raymond forming a plan to capture Johnny himself. When Johnny is caught and almost cooked, Jungle Boy convinces the animals to set him free. Raymond then attempts to hold Johnny hostage himself, leading to Jungle Boy beating him up. After all seems well, Johnny thanks Jungle Boy and accidentally breaks his arm.
In "Under the Big Flop", Jungle Boy is under the mind control of the evil Vivian Vixen and forced to do tricks in her circus. Johnny and Suzy investigate this and successfully help defeat Vixen and free Jungle Boy's animal friends.
