While guarding Carl's science project, Johnny accidentally turns himself into a fly. Now, he has a human head and a fly's body, while the fly has to live with the body of Johnny and has the head of a fly.

- This episode's title and plot is based on both the 1958 sci-fi horror movie The Fly and its 1986 adaption.
- When Carl finds out his invention works, he mentions the patent office and says he is going to make a fortune. Similarly to "Johnny's Guardian Angel", this implies Carl could earn a lot of money from his inventions when Johnny's not around to misuse and/or destroy them (assuming that Carl doesn't already do so).
