- Johnny claims "everything Mama cooks tastes like chicken," much to Carl's disgust.
- Carl apparently likes anchovies on his pizza, because when ordering pizza from the Pizza Shack, he asks for "double anchovies" on his order. Johnny finds this gross, indicating that he doesn't like anchovies.
- It was implied in "Johnny and the Beanstalk" that Johnny doesn't like anchovies, because when talking to the giant, Johnny asks for pizza with "extra cheese and no anchovies."
