"Days Of Blunder" is a Season 2 episode of Johnny Bravo.
Synopsis[]
When Johnny takes Bunny's secret hot rod to enter it into an auto race, Carl helps improve it and controls it with a joystick. However, when the joystick short-circuits, Johnny is left to drive on his own.
Goofs[]
- In one frame when Carl slaps Johnny, his glasses are the same color as his skin.
- As Johnny gets slapped, the left side of the white stripe on his outfit disappears.
Trivia[]
- The most common synopsis for this episode states that Carl was the one to convince Johnny to enter the Dandy 500. This is incorrect, as Johnny had already made this decision himself before taking Carl's offer to fix-up the car.
Cultural References[]
- The episode is a parody of the 1990 film Days of Thunder.
- The Dandy 500 race is a parody of the Daytona 500.
- Carl's scene as a scientist bringing the joystick to life is a homage to a horror classic, Frankenstein, which is spoofed two years later in the episode, "Frankenbravo".
Episode Connections[]
- In "The Incredible Shrinking Johnny", Johnny believes that his scooter got bigger because of the oil he had been using, saying "[he] thought [it] finished growing." This may have been a reference to Johnny's belief that he could plant a toy car at the beginning of this episode.
- This episode has two similar jokes to Season 1's "Substitute Teacher", where Johnny drives a vehicle with his teeth and gets slapped for not focusing on driving. It is unknown if this was intentional or just a coincidence.
