"Alien Confidential" is a Season 2 episode of Johnny Bravo.

Synopsis

An alien lands on Earth with the secret of universal peace. After Johnny takes the alien to Pops, the two get chased by an angry mob.

Plot Summary

In the park, Johnny is trying to catch his own shadow. An alien spaceship arrives and, upon landing, the escalator to the ship crushes him. The alien, named Theramid, apologizes and reveals he has come to Earth to share the secret of universal peace with humans. Johnny, misunderstanding what "leader" Theramid wanted to be taken to, takes him home to Bunny Bravo. This goes awry, as Bunny injures him while trying to straighten out his spine.

Irritated, Theramid says that he wants to be taken to the United Nations, where people "talk turkey" and "settle beefs". Johnny then brings him to Pop's Moon Palace, where Pops, assuming the alien's mission is just a ploy to enslave mankind, calls for an angry mob. Johnny grabs Theramid and runs out of the diner, where he is chased through town.

When Johnny takes a turn in an alleyway, Carl Chryniszzswics stops in front of them on his bike. Carl claims he explored Theramid's ship and greets the alien with geeky sci-fi references, which prompts Johnny to throw him into a dumpster. The alien is grateful for this, unaware that Carl was going to give back a part for his ship that he fixed.

Johnny then steals Carl's bike and puts the alien in its basket, racing away from the mob and soon crashing into a tree. Theramid gets angry with Johnny, saying he is going to tell everyone on Wendy how stupid Earth is, and that it will likely get blown up as a result. Carl arrives with the part too late, as Theramid takes off in his ship and crashes into a water tower, leaving him stranded.

At the end, Johnny tunes into a live children's television show titled Big Top Funnies, where it is revealed the alien is now a part of it and a clown is seen pantsing him for laughs.

• After Johnny grabs Carl, the gap between Carl's hair and his head is skin-colored.

Cultural References

• When greeting Theramid, Carl recites phrases from Mork & Mindy, The Day the Earth Stood Still, and Star Trek.
  • In the closed captioning for this episode, some of these phrases are spelled incorrectly.
  • This is the only episode to have a direct quote reference to Star Trek ("Live long and prosper!"), which is parodied by the TV show Trip McCoy: Galaxy Boy in-universe.
• Johnny puts Theramid in the bike's basket and later asks him to use his "magic powers" to lift them safely over a cliff's edge, only to learn the alien has no powers. They launch into the night sky and crash into a tree, parodying the famous scene from the E.T. film.
